George III Style Carved Mahogany Breakfront Bookcase - A George III Style Carved Mahogany Breakfront Bookcase, 20th Century In four parts. The upper section with a removable pierced fret-carved gallery above a molded and dentil carved cornice over three astragal molded doors, enclosing eight short and three long adjustable shelves, resting on a conforming lower section with gadrooned waist molding and three paneled doors below, raised on a plinth base. Each door with carved rosettes to the corners. Dimensions: Height 92in; width 64in; depth 14in. Provenance: Property from a Greater Philadelphia Estate. Condition: Comprising: cornice; upper section; lower section; plinth base. Structurally sound. In overall good condition. Typical marks, wear, nicks, abrasions and surface scratches.
