English Creamware Teapot with Peacocks, Leeds, 18th Century - An English Creamware Teapot, Leeds, 18th Century Engine turned ribbing to the cylindrical body, polychrome decorated with two peacocks to either side amongst flowers and foliage, with applied strap handle. Dimensions: Height 4 1/4in; width across handle to spout 8 1/4in; depth 4 1/4in. Provenance: Property from a Greater Philadelphia Estate. Condition: Examined under UV light, there is restoration throughout to the spout, 1/3 of the body where spout attaches, a portion of the lid and where strap handle mounts to body of teapot.
