Four Pieces of English Delftware Tin Glazed Bianco Sopra Bianco, 18th Century - Four Pieces of English Delftware Tin Glazed Bianco Sopra Bianco Earthenware, Probably London or Bristol, Third Quarter 18th Century Comprising a charger; a plate; and a pair of plates with scalloped rim. Each decorated with a large central rock, weeping tree, pagoda, boat, and figures to the foreground. The charger was purchased from Anthony S. Werneke Fine Antiques, Pond Eddy, New York, May 28, 1989; The pair of plates with scalloped rims were purchased from Mercury Antiques, Kensington, London, June 10, 1982. (4) Dimension: Diameter of charger 12in; diameter of plate 9in; diameter of scalloped rim pair 8 3/4in. Provenance: Property from a Greater Philadelphia Estate. Condition: Under UV light there is no fluorescence. Typical firing and glazing imperfections. Wear, roughness, minor chips and flakes along rim and foot to each. Stilt marks visible to reverse.
