American Floral Applique 'Garden Maze' Quilt, Circa 1870 - An American Floral Applique 'Garden Maze' Quilt, Circa 1870 Comprising nine hand appliqued cotton blocks with red and green blooms,  blossoms and embroidered details,  having a green garden maze sashing, framed by a vine border to four sides. All hand pieced and quilted at nine stitches per inch. Thin batting and finished with a red machine stitched binding. Dimensions: Dimensions approximately 82 x 78in. Provenance: From a Local Collection. Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use. General fading overall, wear, thinning, losses and discolorations throughout. Discolorations especially to green fabric. Scattered small stains.
