A Hand Modeled Pottery Pen Holder, 1936, Vermont Interest - A Hand Modeled Pottery Pen Holder, 1936, Vermont Interest   A pen holder/inkwell in pottery that bears the text, 'The fountain pens are very fine, I still use pen and ink, because each time I dip my pen I have a chance to think'. The bottom is signed 'MG' and dated for 1936. A small paper tag reads, 'Mrs. James Gay, Cavendish VT'. The Gay family was important in Cavendish and owned a large Woolen products factory.  Dimensions: 5 3/4in x 5 3/4in, the height is 6 1/4in.  Condition: Good condition, no damage or repairs.
