An Unusual Civil War Era American Ceramic Pitcher - An Unusual Civil War Era American Ceramic Pitcher  A marbled or ' scroddleware' pitcher with hound form handle. With applied decoration in the form of seated liberty with shield and thirteen stars, eagles  and impressed text that includes, 'Union', the date 'December 25th, 1868', and an illegible name at each top edge.  Dimensions: 10in from handle to spout and 10 1/4in tall.  Condition: Good condition, no damage or repairs.
