American Primitive Green-Painted Banded Pantry Box, John Burr, Hingham, MA - An American Primitive Green-Painted Banded Pantry Box, John Burr (1791-1856), Hingham, Massachusetts, 19th Century With single opposing finger laps and tacked construction. Stamped 'John Burr' to the underside. Purchased in 1973. Together with a similar banded hickory and pine pantry box with double finger laps and opposing finger lap to the lid. Purchased in 1990. (2) Dimensions: Height of larger 3in; diameter 7in; Height of smaller 2in; diameter 4 1/2in. Provenance:  From a Bucks County, Pennsylvania collection.  Condition: Each in generally good condition overall. Wear commensurate with age and use. The smaller un-painted box with an old glued crack/break to the banded lid.
