New England Miniature Federal Paint Decorated Blanket Chest, 19th Century - A New England Miniature Federal Paint Decorated Blanket Chest, 19th Century The rectangular snipe hinged top with script initials and molded edges, enclosing an open box, wallpapered with a 19th century Portland newspaper, having a shaped apron and ending with bracket feet. Nailed construction throughout. Dimensions: Height 8 1/2in; width 13 1/4in; depth 7 1/2in. Provenance: Purchased York, Maine, July 6, 1990. From a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection. Condition: In overall good condition. Retaining an old untouched, dark and dry surface. General marks, wear, abrasions and surface scratches. Shrinkage throughout.
