Five Pieces of American Lead and Manganese Glazed Redware, 19th Century - Five Pieces of American Lead and Manganese Glazed Redware Pottery, 19th Century Comprising an 8 1/4in green/brown glazed ovoid crock with manganese brushed decoration, applied lug handles and an unglazed foot; a 9in glazed jar with manganese brushed decoration and an unglazed foot; a 6in glazed storage jar; a 6in jar with impressed initials 'EB'; and a 4in glazed bowl with incised collar and shoulder, and an unglazed foot. (5) Dimensions: Heights range from 4in to 9in. Provenance: From a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection. Condition: The large ovoid crock with vertical traveling hairline crack through to the lip. The large manganese brushed jar with a large chip loss to the rim. Otherwise, each in generally good condition overall. Typical glazing and firing flaws from manufacture. Crazing throughout.
