George Cruikshank (1792-1878), Six Drawings of the Irish Rebellion of 1798 - Six original drawings by George Cruikshank, the drawings from the artist's personal collection and for W.H. Maxell's History of the Irish Rebellion in 1798  first published in 1845, these finished drawings were to become the etched plates for book, each is pencil signed at the bottom middle margin. With a letter dated 1913 entailing provenance from Walter T. Spencer Bookseller, London.  Dimensions:  leaves range from 5 3/8” x 8 1/4” to 6 3/4” x 9 1/2”  Provenance:  From a New York collection. Condition: Good condition, somewhat toned,  as pictured, all are loose.
