Four Engravings of the Leamington Grand Steeple Chase, 1837 - Four Engravings of the Leamington Grand Steeple Chase, 1837 Mid 19th-century, a series of four hand colored engravings after paintings by Francis Calcraft Turner, the engravings done by Charles Hunt, each with labels of the horses and riders, all in matching frames. The lot also includes a hand colored engraving published 1876 of ”Steeple Chase Incidents” after a painting by W.J Shayer.  Dimensions:  each is 19 1/2” x 26 3/4”, the frames 27 1/2” x 34 1/2”, the other print: sight is 16” x 24 1/4”, the frame 25” x 33”  Provenance: From a local collection. Condition: Plate 2 has three tears at the lower right quadrant, toning, and light foxing is also evident through the frames, not examined out of the frames.
