Pair of William and Mary Joined Oak Slat-Back Side Chairs, Circa 1700 - A Pair of William and Mary Carved and Joined Oak Slat-Back Side Chairs, Circa 1700 The shaped crest rail with stylized carving and volutes above four punch-decorated slats and lower back rail, turned stiles terminating into square back legs, the trapezoidal boarded seat above molded seat rails, raised on block and baluster-turned front legs, joined by stretchers. (2) Dimensions: Height 45 3/4in; width 18in; depth of seat 13in; seat height 20in. Provenance: From a Philadelphia Main Line Collection. Condition: Structurally sound. Scattered old repairs,  reinforcements and losses throughout. Evidence of old wood worm throughout.
