Yabu Meizan (1853-1934), Satsuma Vase - Yabu Meizan (1853-1934), Satsuma Vase  A small, two-handled Satsuma vase by Yabu Meizan, with decoration including a shore landscape, figures on fans playing music and sitting,   sparrows, and various chrysanthemums among other decorative elements including features in Gosu blue, signed at bottom.  Dimensions:  4 1/2” height, 3 3/4” width (at the handles). Provenance: From a local collection. Condition: There is an area of restoration to the gilding of the rim, light surface wear including some losses to the gilding at the handles and foot.
