Federal Green-Painted Softwood Side Table / Stand, Early 19th Century - A Federal Green-Painted Softwood Side Table / Stand, Early 19th Century The square two-board top above a deep frieze, raised on square tapered legs.  Dimensions: Height 25 3/4in; width 18in; depth 16 3/4in. Provenance: From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Structurally sound. The top with wear to the surface. Retaining an older green painted surface, with traces of earlier paint beneath. Typical wear commensurate with age and use. Shrinkage to two-board top. General nicks and wear and small losses overall.
