Solid pine construction. With pencil inscription to one end, ”Letters + Papers / 1827 + 1828”. Dimensions: Height 9 1/2in; width 18in; depth 11 1/2in. Provenance: From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers.
