Late Federal Miniature Walnut Chest of Drawers, 19th Century - A Late Federal Miniature Walnut Chest of Drawers, 19th Century The molded rectangular top with canted front corners over three long drawers and scalloped skirt. The drawers having turned knobs and nailed construction, the bottom drawer is partitioned. Dimensions: Height 12 3/4in; width 16in; depth 8 1/2in. Provenance: From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Structurally sound. In generally good condition overall. The bottom drawer front has been replaced with a softwood and stained to simulate walnut. General marks, nicks, scuffs, abrasions and surface scratches throughout.
