Sheraton Green-Painted Two-Part Stepback Cupboard, 19th Century - A Sheraton Green-Painted Two-Part Stepback Cupboard, Second Quarter 19th Century The upper section with ogee molded cornice above a ribbon molded frieze, the pair of paneled cupboard doors over two short drawers and a pie shelf, resting on a lower section with scrubbed top, chamfered edge, above a pair of paneled cupboard doors and scrolled skirt, ending in bracket feet. Dimensions: Height 81in; width 40 1/2in; depth 20in. Provenance:  From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Structurally sound. Retaining an old painted surface with heavy wear, losses,  craquelure and flaking overall. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions, surface scratches and small losses, otherwise good condition.
