Four American Primitive Painted Trays, 19th Century - A Group of Four American Primitive Painted Trays, 19th Century Comprising a large blue-painted serving tray with handles and three small nailed cutlery trays in yellow, gray and robin's egg blue paint. (4) Dimensions: Height of smallest 2 3/4in; width 12 3/4in; depth 12in; Height of largest 3 3/4in; width 28 1/2in; depth 18in. Provenance: From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Each in generally good condition, typical scattered wear commensurate with age and use. Flaking and paint loss throughout.
