Four American Primitive Sets of Wall Mounted Clothing Pegs and Game Hooks - A Group of Four American Primitive Sets of Wall Mounted Clothing Pegs and Game Hooks, 18th-19th Century Comprising two painted softwood sets with four clothing pegs; a scrubbed softwood set with two clothing pegs and a large butcher set with thirteen wrought iron game hooks on a chestnut board. (4) Dimensions: Lengths include 18in; 30in; 34 1/2in; and 70 1/4in. Provenance: From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Each in generally good condition overall. Distressed, used and worn appearance overall. The game hooks with heavy wear, bending, pitting and oxidation to the metalwork.
