Queen Anne Mahogany Tea Table and Cherry Candlestand, 18th Century - Two Queen Anne Mahogany and Cherry Tables, 18th Century Comprising a tilt-top tea table with mahogany top, above a cherry turned support, the tripod base ending with cabriole legs and snake feet; and a cherry candlestand with single board stationary square top, above a turned support, the tripod base ending with cabriole legs. (2) Dimensions: Height of oval stand 27 1/2in; width 29 1/4in; depth 20 3/4in; Height of square stand 25 1/4in; width 15in; depth 14 1/2in. Provenance: From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Each candlestand is structurally sound and retaining an older finish. Minor old cracks shrinkage, typical nicks, marks, abrasions, and surface scratches. The square top stand with age cracks and old repairs to top. The tilt-top table with discoloration to the top.
