New England Federal Paint Decorated Pine Chest of Drawers, Early 19th Century - A New England Federal Paint Decorated Pine Chest of Drawers, Early 19th Century The molded top over three graduated long drawers and scalloped paneled skirt, scalloped skirt to sides and reverse. Dimensions:  Height 30 3/4in; width 37 1/4in; depth 17in. Provenance: From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Structurally sound. Retaining an old painted surface, with extensive refreshing and touching up overall. The brass hardware is replaced and hiding earlier sets of drilled holes to drawer fronts. Lacking brass lockplate to one drawer.
