American Country Red-Painted Pine Dovetailed Bucket Bench / Shelf, 19th Century - An American Country Red-Painted Pine Dovetailed Bucket Bench / Shelf, 19th Century Having two tiers, the top board is dovetailed into the sides of unit and the lower tier is through-tenoned. Dimensions: Height 29in; width 33 3/4in; depth 9in. Provenance: From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Structurally sound, joints are sturdy. General marks, wear, abrasions,  surface scratches and small losses throughout.
