Assembled Group of Iron Hearth Accessories and Fireplace Tools, 19th Century - An Assembled Group of Iron Hearth Accessories and Fireplace Tools, 19th Century Comprising a pair of wrought iron andirons; a cast iron fireback; a set of iron tongs; an iron poker; two iron shovels; a pair of iron hanging game hooks; a cast iron mount / trivet; a set of stencil decorated painted bellows; and a large copper kettle. (12) Dimensions: Height of andirons 21in; width 12 3/4in; depth 22in; Height of copper kettle 11in; diameter 16 1/4in. Provenance:  From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use, oxidation to the surface overall. Losses and a significant crack to the fireback. Heavy wear to the iron tools overall.
