Federal Maple and Blue-Painted Drop-Leaf Dining Table, Early 19th Century - A Federal Maple and Blue-Painted Drop-Leaf Dining Table, Early 19th Century The rectangular top above a painted base, raised on square tapered legs. Dimensions: Height 29 1/4in; width 42in; depth closed 18 1/4in; depth open 39 1/2in. Provenance:  From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Structurally sound. In generally good condition overall. Typical marks, wear, nicks, abrasions, surface scratches and small losses commensurate with age and use. There is an old small loss to rule joint at hinge. Minor stains and liquid rings to top. The base retains an old painted surface.
