Federal Green-Painted Splay Leg Stand, Early 19th Century - A Federal Green-Painted Splay Leg Stand, Early 19th Century The well worn square two-board top above a molded frieze, raised on square tapered splayed legs.  Dimensions: Height 26 3/4in; width 20 3/4in; depth 20 1/2in. Provenance: From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Structurally sound. The top with wear to the surface. The frieze and legs retaining an old painted surface. Typical wear commensurate with age and use. Shrinkage to two-board top. General nicks and wear overall.
