Assembled Group of Primitive Treen, 19th Century - An Assembled Group of Primitive Treen, 19th Century Comprising a carved maple trencher ; a 5 3/4in turned maple footed bowl; a 7 1/2in oak plate; a 8 3/4in turned fruitwood footed shallow dish; a carved maple scoop; and a large blue-painted dry scoop. (6) Dimensions: Height of trencher 5in; width 22 1/2in; depth 12 3/4in. Provenance: From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Each with typical wear commensurate with age and use. Heavy wear, distressing to surfaces and small losses throughout.
