American Primitive Six-Drawer Pine Apothecary Chest, 19th Century - An American Primitive Six-Drawer Pine Apothecary Chest, 19th Century The dovetailed case fitted with six thumb molded dovetailed drawers. Dimensions: Height 19 1/4in; width 21 1/4in; depth 9 1/4in. Provenance: From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Structurally sound. Heavy wear, craquelure, paint loss and flaking overall. Brass knobs are toned and likely original. Two drawers are lacking locks, no keys.
