Five Painted Wash Tubs / Buckets and Four Cutting Boards - Two Primitive Painted Staved Wash Tubs / Basins, 19th-20th Century The largest having a green painted surface, the other in red. Together with three painted staved buckets and four cutting boards. (9) Dimensions: Height of largest green wash tub 15 1/4in; diameter 19 1/2in; Height of larger red wash tub 9 3/4in; diameter 19in; Height of smallest bucket 4 1/2in; diameter 9in; Lengths of cutting boards range from 14 1/4in to 24in. Provenance:  From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Each having a heavily worn surface. Marks, wear, surface scratches and small losses throughout. Bending and oxidation to the metal banding around was tubs.
