American Country Federal Painted Drop-Leaf Harvest Table, Circa 1800 - An American Country Federal Painted Drop-Leaf Harvest Table, Circa 1800 The pine scrubbed top above a painted base, raised on square tapered legs with chamfered corners. Mortise-and-tenon construction. Dimensions: Height 28 1/2in; width closed 21 3/4in; width open 39 1/4in; length 65in. Provenance:  From the Dorothea & Tom Buckner Estate. Dotty (Dorothea) and Tom Buckner began collecting Early American painted primitive furniture and accessories in 1979 and over the next 22 years they were regular buyers from a number of respected Bucks County, Pennsylvania antique dealers. Condition: Structurally sound. Retaining an old painted base. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions, surface scratches and small losses throughout. The two board top with significant shrinkage, having a patched in strip of wood.
