Southern Federal Tiger Maple Hunt Board, Early 19th Century - A Southern Federal Tiger Maple Hunt Board, Early 19th Century The rectangular two board top over three short drawers above a deeply scalloped birdseye maple apron, raised on six square tapered legs. Tulip poplar secondary wood. Dimensions: Height 37 3/4in; width 66in; depth 17 1/2in. Provenance: Property from the Naylor Estate, Malvern, Pennsylvania. Condition: Structurally sound. Refinished surface. The top with heavy wear to the finish and significant shrinkage between the two boards. The two center front legs with significant bowing. Minor breaks and glued repairs to returns. The brass hardware is likely original.
