Hæmatopus townsendi engraving with etching, aquatint and hand-coloring,  circa 1838, on J Whatman 1838 watermarked paper.  Dimensions: the plate size is   21½ x 27 1/8 in, the sheet, 24in x 30in.  Condition: The margins are trimmed and show general wear, there is a tear help with tape at the lower margin, loose and unframed.
