New England Inlaid Mahogany Lowboy, Mid 18th Century - A New England Inlaid Mahogany Lowboy, Mid 18th Century The rectangular top with molded edge and string inlay centered by an inlaid eight-pointed star, above two over three small drawers, the middle drawer decorated with a large trompe l'oeil inlaid scallop shell, scalloped apron with turned drop finials, raised on four cabriole legs ending with pad feet. Dimensions: Height 31in; width 33in; depth 19 1/2in. Provenance: Property from the Naylor Estate, Malvern, Pennsylvania. Condition: The top with multiple repairs and reinforcements throughout. The top is currently not attached. The brass hardware is replaced. Several secondary holes to the drawer fronts and scarring from previous hardware.
