Pennsylvania Sheraton Red-Painted Blanket Chest, Second Quarter 19th Century - A Pennsylvania Sheraton Red-Painted Pine Blanket Chest, Second Quarter 19th Century The hinged rectangular top with applied molded edges to either end, enclosing a dovetail-constructed box with a tulip poplar left covered till, raised on turned feet.  Dimensions:  Height 22 1/2in; width 43 1/2in; depth 20 1/4in. Provenance: Property from the Naylor Estate, Malvern, Pennsylvania. Condition: Structurally sound. Retaining the original dry painted surface. Heavy marks, wear, nicks, abrasions and surface scratches overall.
