Ernest Muehlmatt (American, 1927-2016), A Carving of a Woodcock - Ernest Muehlmatt (American, 1927-2016), Two Carvings of Birds  Comprising: a life-sized carving of a Woodcock perched on a rock, dated September, 1994, together a miniature work depicting a Canvasback duck standing on a log from a numbered edition no. 18/69.  Dimensions:  from the Canvasback at 10 1/2” x 6”, and 5” in height, to the woodcock at 11” x 8 1/2” , and 8 1/2” in height (overall dimensions). Provenance: Property from the Naylor Estate, Malvern, Pennsylvania. Condition: The woodcock has some minor losses to the tips of the tail feathers and a glued repair to the beak, otherwise good.
