Two American Blue Decorated Stoneware Jugs - Two American Blue Decorated Stoneware Jugs  The smaller example is marked for F.H. Cowden and features stenciled cobalt blue decoration, the larger ovoid jug is unmarked and has blue foliate decoration.  Dimensions: the Cowden jug is 7 1/2in diameter and 12in tall, the larger example is 10in diameter and 17in tall.  Provenance: Property from the Naylor Estate, Malvern, Pennsylvania. Condition: The larger jug has a shallow foot rim chip, otherwise both are in good condition with expected surface wear.
