George III Carved Mahogany Fold-Top Card Table, Mid 18th Century - A George III Carved Mahogany Fold-Top Card Table, Mid 18th Century The rectangular top with serpentine front and shaped sides, having carved edges above a deep frieze and gadrooned molding, supported by scrolled returns, single frieze drawer to the right side, raised on fluted and gadrooned square legs with canted front corners and inner chamfering. Oak and pine secondary wood. Dimensions: Height 29in; width 34in; depth 17in; depth open 33 3/4in. Provenance:  Purchased with Glenn C. Randall Antiques & Works of Art, Alexandria, Virginia, July 25, 1974. From a Delaware Collection. Condition: Structurally sound. Warm color throughout. In an overall very good restored condition. The top when closed with minor even fading. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions and surface scratches.
