A French Charles X Gilt Bronze Shelf Clock - A French Charles X Gilt Bronze Shelf Clock  Circa 1820, with circular gadrooned feet below a body decorated with applied swags of flowers divided by torches, the upper section with a dial with floral bezel, stacks of books in low relief and a figure of a seated classical boy reading a book. Unsigned. With an ebonized wooden stand and glass dome.  Dimensions: the clock is 8in x 3 1/2in and 11 1/4in tall. The dome and base are 12in x 7 1/2in and 16in tall.      Provenance: From a Princeton, NJ estate.  Condition: Missing the access door, overall good cosmetic condition, we cannot guarantee functionality.
