Massachusetts Queen Anne Maple Bonnet Top Highboy, Mid 18th Century - A Massachusetts Queen Anne Maple Bonnet Top Highboy, Mid 18th Century The upper case having a broken arch to the pediment ending with carved terminals, fitted with a central fan carved drawer flanked by two short drawers, over four long graduated drawers, resting on a lower section with molded waist above a shallow long document drawer over three short drawers, the center drawer having a deeply carved fan, the shaped apron with acorn form drop finials, all raised on cabriole legs with large pad feet and a tall shoe. Dimensions: Height 83 1/4in; width 43in; depth 22 1/4in. Provenance: From a Princeton, New Jersey Collection. Condition: Structurally sound. Retaining an older refinished surface. The brass hardware is original. The finials are replaced. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions, surface scratches and small losses.
