Two Japanese Illustrated Books, Edo Period - Two Edo Period Japanese Illustrated Books Comprising :  Transmitting the Spirit, Revealing Form of Things: Picture Album of Drawings at One Stroke (Denshin kaishu ippitsu gafu), 1823 by Katsushika Hokusai,  and  Banshoku Zoku Vol. 2  by Taito Katsushika, a book of various patterns and designs for artisans. Both books come with a protective sleeve.  Dimensions:  both are approximately 9 1/4” x 6 1/2”  Provenance:  From the Estate of Martin W. Hutner, New York, NY.  Condition: The cover of the book by Hokusai has come apart, overall toning, edge wear, and age related deteriorations including tears are present to the leaves.
