Pennsylvania Painted Tulip Poplar Dovetailed Hanging Salt Box, 19th Century - A Pennsylvania Painted Tulip Poplar Dovetailed Hanging Salt Box, 19th Century The scalloped backboard above a hinged slant lid enclosing an open interior over a single short dovetailed drawer divided into six small compartments.   Dimensions:  Height 10 3/4in; width 12in; depth 8 1/2in. Provenance:  From the collection of Bill and Nancy Haase. Condition: Retaining an old, dark and nicely worn painted surface. Marks and wear throughout. Appears to be retaining the original oxidized and toned brass knob to drawer.
