A American Paint Decorated Dower Chest - A American Paint Decorated Dower Chest   Circa 1800, With a bracket foot below three dove tailed drawers and an applied molding, all below a lid that opens to reveal an interior with strap hinges and till, with sponge decorated salmon and blue paint.    Dimensions:  48” at the waist, the overall width is 49 1/2”, the depth is 22 1/2”, the height is 29”    Provenance:  From the collection of Bill and Nancy Haase. Condition: There is a plugged keyhole from an earlier lock, the lock to the central drawer is missing, some of the paint appears to be touched up, general wear from use.
