Three Straps of Brass Petal Incised Sleigh Bells, 19th Century - A Strap of Twenty-Nine Cast Brass Petal Incised Sleigh Bells, Second Half 19th Century Comprising two 'No. 1' bells; ten 'No. 4' bells; two 'No. 5' bells; two 'No. 6' bells; two 'No. 7' bells; two 'No. 8' bells; one 'No. 9' bell; two 'No. 10' bells; one 'No. 11' bell; one bell stamped 'NS'; one stamped 'VS'; and three stamped 'HB'. Graduating, each shank fastened to the original leather strap with buckle. Together with a strap of thirty 'No.4 bells', and a strap of seven 'H.B 1' bells and thirty-two smaller sized bells.  Dimensions: Length approximately 93in; width of strap 2in. Provenance:  From the collection of Bill and Nancy Haase. Condition: Heavy wear and toning to the cast bells. Scattered hairlines throughout,  seven bells with significant cracks. The leather strap is dry. heavy verdigris and discoloration to the shank fasteners, one of the straps has a break near the buckle.
