George III Style Bracket Clock, Retailed by J. E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia - A George III Style Carved Mahogany Bracket Clock, Retailed by J. E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia, Late 19th Century   The caddy top case carved with Neoclassical motifs and brass handle,  the silvered brass dial having Roman numerals, inscribed 'J. E. Caldwell & Co. / Philadelphia'   to the center, having a subsidiary 'Fast/Slow' and 'Chime/Silent' dials. The twin train movement striking on two 4-inch gongs.   Dimensions:  11 1/2 in. x 8 in.,  18 in high   Provenance: From a Bucks County Collection.  Condition: The case is heavy worn with extensive wear, buckling and peeling to veneers for moisture damage. Wear and toning to brass hardware. We cannot guarantee the completeness and functionality of the clock's movement.
