A Classical Mahogany Secretary Desk Bookcase, c. 1845 - A Classical Mahogany Two-Part Secretary Desk Bookcase, c. 1845   The top section with arched glazed doors; the bottom section with a slanted fall-front writing surface above three drawers flanked by carved posts.   Dimensions : 38 in. wide, 18 in. deep (closed), 58 1/2 in. high Condition: Together with key.  The left rear leg recently reattached and the right front leg loose.  Lacking inset writing surface.  Lifting, cracks, and loss to figured mahogany veneer.  Pressed brass pulls probably original.  The left drawer on top section lacking locking mechanism.
