A Federal Mahogany Bowfront Chest of Drawers, New England, c. 1800 - A Federal Mahogany Bowfront Chest of Drawers, New England, c. 1800   With five graduated drawers on high bracket feet   Dimensions : 39 1/2 in. wide, 21 in. deep, 37 in. high     Condition: A 1 1/4 in. crack and separation to top at back.  Brasses replaced.  The majority of moldings to bottom sides lacking, with some sections retained for reattachment.  Chips, cracks, and losses to veneer.  The veneer is dry and brittle in some parts.  Other rubbing, scratches and wear consistent with age and use.
