A George II Carved Walnut Side Chair, Mid-18th Century - A George II Carved Walnut Side Chair, Mid-18th Century   The crest carved with a shell motif above a vasiform splat, with a shaped apron above shell and scale-carved legs on ball and claw feet   Dimensions:  seat is 16 1/2” x 22” at the widest, the seat height is approximately 18”, the overall height is 41 1/2”    Provenance: from a Main Line, Philadelphia collection.  Condition: The seat frame with incised ”II” front rail.  Lifting to one section of veneer approximately 2 in. long on apron.
