A Japanese Silver Censer Ball, Meiji Period (1868-1912) - A Japanese Silver Censer Ball, Meiji Period (1868-1912)   A globular censer comprised of two hinged pierced hemispheres suspended on a chain attached to bone handle with carved decoration comprising a man at work in the fields with a mountain in the distance.  The sphere stamped ”STERLING” and the handle bearing signature in red ink   Dimensions : the sphere 1 3/4 in. diameter, 10 1/4 in. long, overall   .6 oz t     Condition: Buildup and tarnishing to silver.  Very minor dings.  The handle with some soiling and darkening with expected rubbing and wear from use.
