A Continental Carved Oak Panel, 19th Century - A Continental Carved Oak Panel, 19th Century   Depicting a satyr mask flanked by swags ending in bows, within a rectangular frame.  Likely from a larger decorative scheme.     Dimensions : 12 in. high, 21 1/2 in. wide   Provenance : The Estate of Dr Neuman S Mittel of Boston and Cape Cod Massachusetts. Condition: With chips and losses to edges of panel, particularly to bottom right corner and top center, along with some nail holes.  The face likely reattached and does not sit exactly flush to relief.  One carved tooth may be lacking.  Build-up of dirt, and scattered nicks, marks, and evidence of age and wear.
