Three Chinese Cinnabar Pieces, Late 19th Century and Later - Three Chinese Cinnabar Pieces, Late 19th Century and Later   Comprising: a late 19th century baluster vase with partially illegible mark on underside comprising a sun and moon over ”.... OLUTION/ CHINA”; a square lidded box with shaped corners marked ”CHINA” on the underside; and a lidded vase raised on a lacquered stand.   Dimensions : 6 3/4 in. x 6 3/4 in., 2 1/2 in. high (the box); 5 in. x 5 in., 9 in. high (the vase); 7 1/2 in. x 4 3/4 in., 14 in. high, overall (the lidded vase)   Provenance : The Estate of Dr Neuman S Mittel of Boston and Cape Cod Massachusetts. Condition: The baluster vase with loss to carving at body near neck.  The foot misshaped and bent on one side, as well as the top of rim.  The box with crack to one corner, as well as chips and losses to black lacquer at interior.  Other general nicks, marks and scratches.  The lidded vase with minor scratches and build-up of dirt.
