Two Chinese Carvings, Jade and Turquoise - Two Chinese Carvings, Jade and Turquoise    Comprising:  a carving in light green/white jade of a bountiful gourd plant in which a man inhabits the largest of the fruits, the carving sits on a stained red wooden stand depicting gourds, and a small figural group carved in turquoise of a mother and calf elephant.    Dimensions:  the elephant group is 3 1/2 x 1 3/4in, height is 2in, the gourd (without stand) is 4 x 2in, height is 5in    Provenance: The Estate of Dr Neuman S Mittel of Boston and Cape Cod Massachusetts. Condition: Good condition with minor surface wear.
